1-28-26   THOUGHTS

What powerful words we read this morning.   Jesus is called our “FORERUNNER” in Heb 6:20! We are given dimension on that word here.  He became our EXAMPLE.  Are you ready...
He “ kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;”!   Isa 53:7 says “And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.”  We see submission to wrong to promote a much  LARGER PURPOSE!  Being  HEALED, we now serve “the Shepherd and Guardian of our souls.”  

1Pet 2:21-25     For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps,  22  WHO COMMITTED NO SIN, NOR WAS ANY DECEIT FOUND IN HIS MOUTH;  23  and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;  24  and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.  25  For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

Our Prayer:
Lord, thank You that all these marvelous words are so!  In Jesus, You have made us what we could never have been.  You have called nothing, something, and we are.  We praise and thank You, our God.  In the hands of our Shepherd and Guardian, help us to thrive, O Lord of all.  All praise to our eternal God!  In the name of our Savior,   Amen.
